Epitalon is a synthetic version of Epithalamin, a peptide secreted in the pineal gland of the brain. It consists of 4 amino acids (Alanine, Glutamic Acid, Aspartic Acid, and Glycine) This tetrapeptide has been researched over the past few decades, revealing it’s ability to increase telomere length. Telomeres cap the ends of chromosomes and protect the genetic code during cell division. When telomeres are shortened during the aging process, cells become damaged, and eventually cellular death occurs. Telomere length correlates with oxidative stress, cancer, and mortality rate.
